Weight: 205 (up), Belly: 40 (same), BMI 31.2 (up)
My cycle started today, too. I'm putting some the the responsibility of the 8 pounds on that.
Merry Christmas!
Should be: "FIT BY '41, MAYBE '42" as in the YEAR 2042. Compulsive over eater, and it is hard to change old habits. Not giving up. Hip bursitis and plantar fasciitis have added to the difficulty but also to the necessity to shed the extra 80 pounds. Have to get over embarrassment of exercising in front of others because without some sort of exercise, I drop back into depression and coping with food. Including tracking calories thanks to free websites that make it doable. (Updated 2-22-12)
Maybe you're like me. Just trying to get through the holidays without going overboard on the sweets but not worrying too much about what I eat. I promise myself to make changes after the holidays are over but for now I'm not going to stress about it.
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas!
Gina, I saw a personal comment from you on another site about what I think your son said. Please do not let anything deter you. I know these comments can take us down further & lead to emotional eating. Just focus on you & what is best for you & take baby steps toward a healthier life. This is not a race or sprint... it is a life long journey & we learn along the way.
ReplyDeleteHang in there!
Gina - your son really is too young to mean what he said. (I have kids that age too!) Instead of letting him get your down, just let it make you stronger and more determined to meet your own personal goals. You are a strong woman and you can be fit by 42!!
ReplyDelete...oh, you guys...thank you...I really needed your words and support...
ReplyDeleteAnd that cycle stuff can totally mess with the scale. Good for you for not getting too discouraged and putting it all in perspective.
