This Sugar Is Healthy For You and Makes You Wanna Dance

Bring on the nostalgia!

Do you remember The Archies? The song popped into my head today (all this talk about sugar). I looked it up on YouTube and was so happy it was there. I've never seen "them"...is it one guy? Anyway, I had the 45 when I was a little girl and would play it over and over and over just dancing around in my room. (sigh:)

{A 45 is a small record, usually a single from the bigger LP record (we used to listen to music on them before tapes). Tapes are what we had before cd's. (oh, I feel old).}

  1. You forgot 8-tracks! I guess that's a kind of tape...

    I used to watch the Archies Saturday morning cartoon and get the comic books at the drugstore. Talk about old.

  2. I remember turntables! And the little disks you fit into forty fives to make them play on 78 (it was 78, wasn't it?) I had a Chopin album I learned to like because I was too lazy to change it... ended up getting hooked involuntarily.

  3. I remember when I was a little girl I had Eddie Rabbit's "I Love the Rainy Nights" on a 45. I played and played that thing until it wouldn't work anymore. Thanks for helping me remember that... I totally forgot! :)
