I'd like to introduce my new blog: What Am I Supposed To Do With That? at 42veggiequest.blogspot.com
I am searching, trying, and posting about veggie recipes that my family and I like.
I'm learning how to feed my family healthier meals. We seriously lacked in the vegetable department.
A few weeks ago, my friend gave me some veggies from her garden. I held the cabbage and thought, "What am I supposed to do with that?" I also thought, enough is enough, I want to learn how to prepare fresh vegetables.
I'll continue this blog, but the new one will focus on my quest for veggies.
Oh, the "42" is just a spin-off from this blog. "Veggie quest dot blogspot dot com" was taken.
Hope to see you there!
Okay, I added it to my reader. I may not comment much; I'm simply going to read and learn. :)
ReplyDeleteI love finely cut up cabbage, red or green, in my salad. I also love red cabbage sliced up very fine and through a good sour apple in in a pot with a tiny bit of water. Let it boil for say 6-8 minutes and Voila! It is a great way to eat cabbage. I like the green slightly boiled too, but have not tried with an apple.
ReplyDeleteVery cool! I'm doing the same thing Cammy will do. I bet I could learn a lot!
ReplyDeleteWonderful! Please link your recipes over here so I don't miss them!
ReplyDeleteGreat idea!
ReplyDeleteI love roasted veggies: potatoes, onions, yams, bell peppers and squash roasted together, with balsamic vinegar, olive oil, rosemary and thyme. Sometimes I skip the yams, since they're not my fav veg, but other people seem to enjoy it.
Besides, I love cooking where all I have to do is chop it up, stick it in the oven, and pull it back out again later. I get bored hovering over a hot stove.
Very cool Gina.. that pic sort of creeps me out! :-)
